Top 5 Local Favorite Restaurants on 30A

30A is home to an abundance of mouthwatering restaurants, the majority of which are owned and operated by area locals and give 30A’s culinary scene the character we know and love. Check out our list of the best 30A best restaurants below and start planning your vacation meals now!

Bud & Alley’s

Bud & Alley’s is a Seaside 30A restaurant that has been drawing in locals and visitors alike since its debut in the mid-1980s. Dine on their delectable crab cakes while soaking up the incredible sunset view after putting in your guess for the exact time that the sun will set. When the bartender rings the bell and marks the passage of the sun below the horizon, those who guessed the time correctly get a free drink on the house!

The Great Southern Café

Also located in Seaside is The Great Southern Café, a 30A restaurant renowned throughout the state for putting a flavorful spin on classic Southern comfort food—particularly in the form of dishes with grits, such as the “Grits A Ya-Ya,” which has portobello mushrooms, sautéed shrimp with applewood-smoked bacon, and spinach over a bed of smoked gouda cheese grits. It’s practically surf and turn Southern cuisine in a single dish!

La Cocina

Nestled in Rosemary Beach, La Cocina combines the best of Tex-Mex cuisine with fresh local seafood and ingredients to create a flavorful, palate-pleasing menu. Dine on enormous burritos and enchiladas, or try the rich and decadent lobster quesadilla. Afterward, snap a tourist photo with the adorable and cheerful painting of LuLu the Boston Terrier!

Stinky’s Fish Camp

Famous for its off-putting name that (thankfully) does not reflect the food served at all, Stinky’s Fish Camp in Dune Allen specializes in spectacular seafood served in just about every way possible, especially crawfish. The 30A restaurant’s crawfish specialties range from crawfish tamales and hushpuppies to crawfish pie and etouffe served with fried green tomatoes. While you’re savoring your meal, you can soak up panoramic views of one of the rare coastal dune lakes nearby.

George’s

Rounding off our list is George’s. Situated in Alys Beach, George’s is housed inside of a cottage easily recognizable for its frog logo. However, George’s stands out even further for its unique menu (split into “Behave” and “Misbehave,” based on healthiness) and wide range of delicious meals. Try the key lime basil pesto blue crab claws, Senora Anna’s fish tacos, or the jalapeno pimento cheese fritters.
