30A and the South Walton area are home to not only cool manmade attractions, but a diverse range of stunning natural 30A attractions as well. Learn more below about what natural 30A attractions you should check out during your time on 30A!

Grayton Beach State Park

As one of the most untouched towns on 30A, it only makes sense that Grayton Beach’s state park would remain in wonderful condition as well. The 2,000-acre 30A attraction, which encompasses the town in its entirety, has miles of trails for hiking and biking, in addition to allowing for a number of recreational activities. Here, visitors can kayak, paddleboard, freshwater fish, saltwater fish, or canoe on the rare coastal dune known as Western Lake. You can also swim, surf-fish, and sunbathe on the accompanying beach.

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park

Located in Dune Allen, Topsail Hill Preserve State Park is home to coastal dunes as high as twenty-five feet tall, three rare coastal dune lakes where you can fish for freshwater species from the shoreline, go on nature hikes and bird-watching excursions, play on over three miles of pristine white sand beaches, and bike throughout the park.

Point Washington State Forest

A gorgeous locale that has as many as ten different habitats within its boundaries, Point Washington State Forest serves as a home for many endangered animal species, as well as a place where visitors can bike, hike, and hunt. One trail that is fantastic for hiking and biking is the Eastern Lake Trail System, where you have a choice of taking three loops, ranging in size from three and a half to ten miles. This is an awesome 30a attraction.

Deer Lake State Park

Sharing a name with the coastal dune lake within its park, Deer Lake State Park is renowned for its plethora of wildflowers, migratory birds, and butterflies. The beach at Deer Lake State Park is where visitors can see the dune ecosystem firsthand, as well as swim, fish, and picnic.

Blue Mountain Beach

Standing as the highest point along the Gulf Coast at an elevation of sixty-four feet, Blue Mountain Beach may not be as impressive as real mountains elsewhere in the country, but it offers serene views of the beach and photo-worthy blankets of beautiful blue lupine flowers that cover the dunes during different points throughout the year.
