Salty breezes aren’t the only thing in the air this time of year in South Walton - that’s right, love is in the air too! As if being at the beach on 30A with your sweetheart isn’t romantic enough, we’ve rounded up a few Valentines Day activities to help you out.
Wine and Dine
Don’t be the schmuck stuck scrambling to find a dinner reservation at the last minute! Book your table now for Tim Creehan’s Cuvee 30A Valentines Day Dinner for Two. Enjoy chef’s featured holiday menu, an award-winning wine list, and a complimentary couples gift as well.
Surfing Deer has been closed for the Winter months but will open up just in time to get you into the holiday of love spirit. The restaurant is transformed and filled with candles, fresh flowers, balloons, and of course an indulgent and expertly curated five-course menu and spectacular wine list. Make your reservation soon because spots are limited, and they’re bound to go quick!
Dinner and Dancing on the Water
Head into Sandestin and jump aboard the SOLARIS yacht for a night full of food, dancing, and drinking under the stars. Enjoy a decadent three-course meal before you whisk your partner to the deck to dance along with live entertainment. Cruise into the moonlight and know that this is a unique experience that you both will remember for a long time.
GALentine's Day
Don’t have a significant other? Don’t sweat it! The holiday of love extends to friends and family as well. Get your best girlfriends together and book a spa day at the Pearl in Rosemary Beach. The Spa Pearl offers a variety of facials, massages, and nail services. Spend the day getting pampered and then head up to the rooftop to sip on fruity cocktails and celebrate lasting friendships.
Don’t Forget the Flowers!
Eden Gardens State Park is one of the most whimsical and dreamy locations in South Walton. Eden Gardens is the home to the Wesley house, a stunning, renovated home that is a popular wedding location backdrop. Located on the North side of Highway 98 and nestled in the trees, the state park hosts its annual Camellia Festival on Saturday, February 16. Keep the romance going into the weekend and stroll around the gardens while the camellias are in full bloom. Enjoy lunch from one of the food vendors under the “wedding tree” while looking out at the peaceful water in the bay.
Puppy Love
Celebrate the unconditional love bestowed upon us by our favorite four-legged friends with Grayton Beer Company. The Grayton Beer taproom is sponsoring its annual Hops for Hounds dog walk. It’s bound to be a tail waggin good time at the taproom after a two-mile walk to raise funds for Dog Harmony, a dog rescue organization. Admission includes access to the event, a “wag” bag, t-shirt, and complimentary draft beer.
Valentine’s day doesn’t have to be a jazzed up and fancy night if you don’t want it to be. You’ve found yourself at the most beautiful beaches in the world, it would be a shame not to make use of them. Pack a picnic, grab some wine coolers (no glass on the beach, please!), find your favorite beach blanket, and camp out on the sand with the one you love. The weather is usually great in February along 30A and there are few things more romantic than being cuddled together while watching the sun sink into the water. Whatever your Valentine’s day plans may entail, we have plenty of fantastic vacation rental options for you- just bring the candles, roses, and chocolate! Spend a romantic weekend on 30A and it will be a Valentine’s Day to remember.
